I did a cute turtle activity this week for the letter Tt and it could also go with animals and their habitats if you discuss ponds. I made giant shells fomr tag board and my class needed work on rhyming so i pairs up the shells and put a rhyming picture on each pair and then i gave students one side and spread all the extra sides around the room and they had to go find their rhyming match. Then they colored them while I tied them on the front and back so they were cute turtles! I also sent a not home asking them to wear green. My students REALLY loved it and you could work on ANY skill like matching capital and llowercase letters, numbers to sets, etc. Here are pictures of my class turtles to give you a better idea.

Here are the pages for the Night/Day Animal sorting activity that I shared with y'all at the last meeting.

Hi All, For the 4th 9 weeks "Investigating our world: Animals and their Habitats" I have found great ready made printable animal vocabulary cards on Prekinders.com (
http://www.prekinders.com/picture-word-cards/). I made doubles of the small cards to play memory matching or I will highlight the initial letter to sort by initial sound. They are great for word walls, matching, and so much more. She also has made blank cards with just the animal so you can print and write or type in other languages, such as Español!
Enjoy!
